The Wittek Company manufactured the tower clamps used on the Cougar from 1967 to 1973, the Mustang from 1964 1/2 to 1973, as well as many other Ford and Mercury cars during that period. In October or 1993, the company filed for bankruptcy. This has made the tower clamp unavailable to the classic car restorer. Our supplier was able to bid at the auction for enough of the original tooling and parts to make these clamps available again. Other companies have also reproduced these clamps, but...

These are used hose clamps that have a tab and fold over on them selves. These were dipped in a rubber like substance to prevent chaffing. The ones that we have available do have some cracking or damage to this coating. It should be easy to 'dip' them again with the product that is available in most hardware stores. We normally see 2 of these clamps, or straps bundling the hoses on most cars. These clamps should fit a variety of different Ford and Mercury products, not just Mustang and Cougar....

This vacuum actuated door assembly was used on several performance motors without Ram Air. When extra air was needed under heavy acceleration the vacuum actuator opened the door on the side of the air cleaner base. The actuator on this unit needs to be rebuilt so this is considered a good core only.

New wheel stud replacement for all Mercury Cougars equipped with front drum brakes. Pretty much fits most other front drum brakes on all mid sized Ford and Mercury cars. This is a the economy version of our lower control arm assembly, with a spot welded on reinforcing plate. We are sorry, but we just cannot recommend this part.
