These is the correct driver side backing plate (sometimes called a splash shield) for 1968 - 1973 Cougars and Mustangs. Sold individually by side, each plate comes with the backing plate retainer. When we say the "vintage casting look", we mean with the proper groove and contours. Reproductions are fine, but do not retain the casting design of the original casting company. When looking for used brake drums, the rule of thumb is to find ones with a brake surface area of 1/4 inch more than the brake shoe width.

Used Cougar convertible top / power sunroof switches are very hard to come by thus the need for a possible "go-around" fix.

Detachable mounting plate for installing the convertible ram cylinder to the convertible top frame assembly behind the quarter interior panel. Right and left are the same, fits all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang convertibles. Ford part number D1ZZ-76531A19-A.

This driver side moulding is correct for convertible. On convertibles the top portion is trimmed to allow it to slide under the sun visor bracket. The engineering number imprinted on the back is D1ZB-6503599 for 1971-1972 and D3ZB-6503599 for 1973. Convertibles show the same casting numbers on the part, but are a modified before assembly. New to the Market! Correct convertible side tension cables for the 71 through 73 Cougar and Mustang.  Replaces Ford Part #: D1ZZ-652806-A.  

This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-D (outer section) and Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-C (inner section) make up this two piece shroud for the 1972 - 1973 Q code 351-4V engine. This inner shield conforms to the 351-4V cast iron exhaust manifold only and the outer portion fits both the 2V and 4V.

Ford part number D2AZ-9A603-D (outer section) and D2AZ-9A603-B (inner section) make up this two piece metal shroud for all 1972 - 1973 H code 351-2V engines. The outer shield section is common to both 2V and 4V 1972 - 1973 351c engines but the inner is unique to the 2V.

Hard to find in this condition, the lower section has a metal tab that gets corrosion from the battery. Sold as a two piece set, Grade A will have undamaged mounting tabs. WOW! How long have we been trying to scrounge up good used pins for restoration? These are identical to what is found on all 1969 Cougar and Mustang Convertibles. Mid late 1972 Mercury Cougar, approximate starting is 3-1-1972 through 1973. D2WY-6540110-A style has the style of keeper for the deck / trunk lock cylinder that pushes up through a rectangular access hole in the bottom. These deck / trunk lids have a rectangular access hole under the trunk lock with a single rivet or screw hole. For deck / trunk lids it is all about rust under the inner rear lip... We still check it over good for excessive filler, correct contour on all the lines and hidden...
