This actually is a pretty impressive part once installed. It fits snug (very tight) over your existing cracked dash and you affix it by putting silicone around the perimeter. Unlike the 67-70 there is no stitched edge or speaker holes in the 71-3 so it is a perfect candidate for this cover. This used tube with two flared fittings was originally used to connect the flexible pressure hose to the power steering pump on all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with V8 engines. Ford shows this item in the chassis assembly manuals and it is called a "Pressure Line Outlet Tube Assembly" and the Ford part number is D1ZA-3E576-AC.

This used retaining clip was originally used to connect the two power steering hoses together at the power steering box. Used on all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with power steering and V8 engines. If your automatic floor shifter has play in it left to right then this is the culprit. Very nice chrome on this used shifter lever for automatic transmissions. Can fit all 1969-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs with FMX or C-6 automatic transmissions. We have found that there is an early and a late version of these levers. The early versions used the C5ZZ-7C442-A pawl.
