These plastic backing plates are found on all 71-73 Cougars with standard interior. This panel was used the full 1971 model year and early 1972 and is for use in cars with no rear seat seat belt re-tractors. It will not show serious UV damage with the "chalky look" and will have no extra holes drilled. This panel was used on all convertible models without retractable seat belts. Please contact us for choice of color, power or manual windows and with or without seat belt re-tractors. It will not show serious UV damage with the "chalky look" and will have no extra holes drilled.

This ashtray lid was located on the rear interior quarter panels and was used on all 1971-73 Mercury Cougars and Mustangs. This ashtray differs from other ashtrays you will see on various Ford products in that it has a brushed finish, is stamped steel and a slightly shorter lower base section. This little cover glues onto your spoke at 6 o'clock and serves to cover the gap between where your rubber horn switch starts and then stops.
