Original FoMoCo used two speed windshield wiper motor for your 1969-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. For 1968 Ford standardized or changed all of the J-bolt threads to the beefier 1/2"-13. We have noted two variations of this wing nut. The most obvious identifier between the two is the tabs in the center. The majority have these tabs present, the minority do not. We also stock and carry the correct disc or hold down plate, and the J bolt. Lots of sizes and lengths for those. Do you have the correct one?

This black wire attaches to the fusible link. The Fusible link connects to the starter solenoid with an eyelet connector, then connects to this wire with a billet connector. Used under dash wiring harness fuse block / box (with a chip or two) with wire leads for the Mercury Cougar STANDARD. This is part of the 14401 main under dash wiring harness. The difference between Standard and XR7 is that the Standard block has the pink resistance wire. *Note - The fuse blocks will have a small amount of damage or chips on it, in spite of what is shown in the picture.
