This windshield wiper delay governor mounts to the driver side firewall. To find where this mounts on the firewall, look for two dimples. Wiring is simple, unplug the windshield wiper harness and plug the male and female ends into the appropriate plugs on the controller. 9B004  Assembly consists of D0WY-9A195-A tank connector assembly, D0WY-9A091-A front vent expansion separator, DOWY-9A091-B rear vent expansion separator, D0WY-9A188-A & D0WY-9A188-B & D0WY-9A225-A mounting brackets, and all of the factory lines that connect them. 1970 Cougar part only guys, probably would work in a 1970 Mustang, but the Mustang has all different part numbers.

D0AF-9E718-C Distributor modulator control module for 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with the M code 351C-4V engines and FMX or automatic transmission. The 'black box', supposed to have a blue cover, The Autolite Shop Tips guide describes this box as having a blue cover and a stamped part number of D0AF-9E718-S. The Ford MPC shows a master part number of D0AZ-9E718-C, and a box marked D0AF-9E718-C.

Used distributor modulator thermal switch for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with the M code 351C-4V engine and FMX automatic transmission. Originally this switch was mounted in the drivers side door jamb and had a bimetal strip that was calibrated for ambient temperatures between 50 and 58°F. We dont have a way to test these, so they are sold as is. Ford part # D0AF-12A164-B.

Air cleaner pre-heater paper hose. Should fit most applications from 1970-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with V8 engines. 2 inch inside diameter, we cut these to about 9 inches long. Correct black paper outside, flexible paper tube, kind of like a Slinky. Please verify your needed length, we leave them a bit longer than needed so that they fit more than one application.

Grade B exhaust manifold heat shield for any 1970 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with 351C engine, 2V or 4V, it doesn't matter. Uses a separate, small diameter metal tube (part number D0OZ-9652-A) that attaches to the 1970 Cleveland air cleaner snorkel. Grade B used will have minor pitting, and may have small holes and or rough rusted edges. When mounted it would be difficult to see the defects. These are bolted to the rear frame rails and were used to tie the car down to the transporter for the journey from the factory to the dealer. The dealer was supposed to remove them and return them for a credit as instructed by the dealer. Notice the sticker on the rear license plate frame (decal is available in the decal section)? Used front license plate bracket in Grade B condition. Grade B will, in most cases it will be slightly bent from prior use. These are about half the weight of originals and do not look correct in any way. They are far better than nothing. This 1965 Mustang alignment pin is not correct for the 1969 to 1973 Cougar but it will work. See the image to the left to see the comparison to an original 69 pin.

Used to cushion and protect top vinyl from excessive wear from side rails. Unfortunately none of the reproductions that we have found resemble the OEM pads. OEM pads looked canvas on the under side that goes against the convertible top rails, and what looked like the soft side of a velcro strip on the upper side that makes contact with the convertible top itself. C9ZB-7653139-A is the part number for the drivers side, C9ZB-7653138-A for the passenger side. These will often break when one hydraulic lift cylinder malfunctions and the other is still working. This scenario will put the top frame in a bind causing one of these cast parts to break. We carefully inspect these before shipment for cracks, worn areas or corrosion.
