Used brake switch plug end, the one that plugs into the brake pedal switch for the brake lights. These often times get hot and partially melt. Easy to change, no cutting or splicing of wires. The female spade plug end just releases from the plug end, look for the release tab for beside the wire on the back.

Both deluxe and standard used the same retractor in 1968 - 1969 and left is the same design as right. Grade "B" retractors will be 100% functional but cosmetically will show a crack in the plastic holster, and may have minor rust on chrome. Keep in mind no retractor was used in convertibles until 1972, only a lap belt. NOTE: Front retractors are same for left and right, and are good for all 67-73 Cougar AND Mustang applications. This is the plastic center piece you press down to release your seat belt on the 68 - 72 seat belts. It comes unbroken and without cracks. This button piece has original starburst decal, which will be faded and need replacing. Find the replacement decals here. Spring is included.

This is the complete one piece seat belt buckle cover which comes with the face plate (with the round cutout for the push button) and the bezel all in one. This version is handy when you don't want to deal with multiple parts (as is the case with the separate face plate and bezel version). Reproduction set of Deluxe seat belts for the 68 - 69 Cougar or Mustang Coupe. Some things you may want to notice are that although these are made to fit both 68 and 69, the webbing is the 68 style. 1968 belts had four rows of material that make up the belt and 1969 belts had three rows (as seen in the picture above).
