Often when your fuel gauge is acting up, this is the culprit, not the gauge or sending unit. Be aware that there are 2 sizes. This bezel is for the brake, belt and turn indicators. It also is for the high beam on the 1967 which used the small indicator. On the 1968 Cougars, they had the large high beam indicator.

These studs and nuts are used to repair the passenger side mounting studs. The studs need to be drilled out using a 1/4" drill bit. Once done, use a 2 part epoxy and install the stud. Make sure to avoid getting epoxy on the threads where the nut will be installed. Once dry, install the bezel into the dash and use a 3/8 # deep well socket to install the nut. CAUTION: Only tighten finger tight to avoid cracking or breaking the bezel.

The 1968 toggle tips we sell fit very tight at best.  To make them fit you will have to remove every bit of glue residue left from the old tips and you may even have to enlarge the holes in the plastic by boring them out a little with a drill bit.  Do not put excessive force on the shaft as you may damage the switch internally.  We apologize for the fit but once on you will have an attractive durable set of tips in place.  No returns on these although if you happen to...

Perfect fit, easy to replace and will be a great upgrade over your original scratched and or pitted knob. To remove, reach behind the dash and locate the small, round spring loaded button on the top side of your headlight switch. Depress the button while firmly grasping the knob and move back and forth until it releases. Used cigar or cigarette lighter threaded retainer with ground lug. Fits any 1969 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with factory installed console. The ground lug is needed for the heating element in the socket. The consoles are made of plastic and use the common socket designed for steel dashes. Of the three covers used on the 67-73 Cougars we find this one the most difficult to use. Will Not Work On Badly Distorted Dash Pads.
