For 1967 both the XR7 and Standard model used the decal shown on this reproduction trunk lock cover. These are the screws that secure the door latch mechanism to the door shell. These screws come with the attached crown headed lock washer, just like the originals, so be sure to tighten them down snugly to ensure that the screw head sits flush into the screw holes. You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 67-68 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. Our grade "A" doors do not have noticeable blisters but since there is no paint or sound deadener in the depths of the corners we know there is some amount of corrosion taking place...

We have created all of the components needed to economically install the steel nutsert or Riv-nut for the exterior mirrors that mount to the car doors. Our steel Riv-nut uses a 1/4 inch hole. This driver side (left hand) remote mirror was used only on the 1968 XR7-G Cougar and is a direct bolt on for any 1967-68 Cougar and uses the same mirror base gasket. Most times when your door sags you do not need new hinges but rather pins and bushings. If your holes are reemed or "hogged out" you will need to buy new hinges or our good used hinges that come with new pins and bushings. We highly recommend restoring our rust free Western hinges over using reproduction hinges. The main reason the originals are better than the Taiwan made reproductions is fit. If there is anywhere in which you want a precision fit it is in the hinges. These hinges have not been worn to the point of being "hogged out" and have been carefully inspected for cracks.
