New 1-1/4 inch expansion plug. Expansion plugs were used as dust covers on the wide bearing style air conditioning pulleys commonly used on Ford cars 1965-68. These are not a real tight fit in those pulleys. Best to still install to keep dust out, we recommend using a bit of JB Weld to hold them.

Finally, an answer to the much needed, delicate 1968 A/C side vents! Visually these are very hard to tell apart from the originals we have listed on this site, but functionally, they are much better in that they are cast in one piece. The originals were very prone to breaking and often when you close the door on your 1968 Mustang, Cougar or Shelby the lower portion of the vent falls off. This reproduction knob set is made by Scott Drake Enterprises. Unlike our knobs, these units have a much larger font. Considering the average Classic Mustang owner is probably 50 years old or more, this was a pretty good idea to do them in this manner since the originals are rather hard to read while driving. This is an OEM Ford part that was originally part of an assembly, which included the sight glass hose, coupler, and this elbow. This elbow has the flared fitting common to the 1967-68 A/C connections.
