Not the easiest install, the plastic turn signal cam that this unit sits in, may have some wear, and the plastic arms on this may not click and hold. Some innovation may be needed, but now all works ok.

Construction and plastic is of good quality. Wire color was not exact to my application but, close enough. I was unable to use the retainer washer supplied with the kit. The mushroomed post of the stud that retained the existing spring steel washer was to big for the small hole of the supplied retainer washer. I used a small internal tooth lock washer instead. It worked.

Great fix with some minor tweaking

I used this to fix the turn signal switch on my 68 XR7 with tilt-away column. It fits perfectly, but it won't stay locked in the right-turn position unless I leave out the small metal centering spring. It works just fine without the spring. Also, the original had a third brown wire attached to the cam and this repop doesn't. I simply snipped the brown wire and left it disconnected and everything still works as it should.

WCCC offers a great video for replacing the cam. After I cut my wires on our '68 DGS, I fed the new wires through the assembly and soldered the wires on the back side of the cam. I tucked the wires, replaced the cam to the assembly, and no one will be the wiser, except for the nice white plastic on the older, yellow plastic. NOTE: Make sure that when you tuck the wires on the back of the cam to go onto the assembly that you DO NOT tuck wiring behind the horn spring contacts. If you do, most likely the contacts will not go down on the spring and those springs may break off. Make sure those springs can go down without any resistance. Otherwise, a cake-walk.

The replacement turn signal cam worked well. I found the video explaining the procedure to be very valuable and highly recommend watching it for guidance. I would recommend this product.
