These are a dull aluminum, rather than the bright originals. The profile is also smaller and not shaped like the factory ones. The other thing I noticed is that there were deep deformities/scratches in the flange in two places. I thought they were defects until I looked at the new one for the other side, and it was identical. Just crude stamping/shaping. In my opinion, these have to be a last resort. And, given that the profile is so different, I'd suggest using them not at all, or using them on all four corners, so that they at least match each other. But I'd wait to find NOS, or good cores for restoration, if you want to be happy. If you're picky at all, you'll be disappointed. I couldn't put these on my car.
I did not have a good core for the RR so the restored version was cost prohibitive considering what good cores go for so I decided to try this inexpensive substitution. Easy to trim off the extra 1" of length, couple of screw holes do not line up, no big deal. Not as brilliant as NOS or finely restored used but I am happy!
