This thing is great in that there will be zero farting around with flare fittings the wrong size or in slightly wrong locations. Its looks are darn good, with a silver, not gold or retro plating on the cover as per the illustration. The bail is super-sturdy; watch that thumb! It is not a rebuilt Ford casting - see undrilled bosses for outlets on the inboard side - but, you're not paying NOS or concours prices, either.
Fitted on well, good value for the money.
Worked perfectly for my disk brake conversion and has been enduring daily use ever since with no issues. looks and fits properly with no issues
Simple install, eveything worked as it should. Good replacement unit
An exact replacement for my original. A valuable footnote in the product description about the spacer requirement between the Midland vs Bendix vacuum booster.
Nice quality repro unit w/cadmium-plated cover and new cover seal. Fit perfectly and bled out easily.
Installed the new 15298 master cylinder on my 69 Cougar. The unit is slightly longer than the Bendix unit I replaced so it caused clearance problems between brake booster and shock tower. This unit measures 71/2 inches from mounting flange to end of the unit. I understand this is not a common problem but to be on the safe side I recommend measuring your old unit and the amount of space you actually have. Other than the clearance issue, the unit works fine.
Sure I could have got one from the kid at the local parts store and maybe even cheaper. Didn't want to waste my time so I got one from WCCC because I knew it would be the right one.
