I had an old custom autosound am/fm radio that sounded ok. But it didn't fit well and I couldn't use my original console knobs. I finally decided to go back to an original type radio so I purchased this converter original. It fits right,it looks right, and sounds good through my front kick panel, and rear package tray speakers. It isn't cheap but it was worth it.
Price seems high...but worth it if you think about it. Please understand someone in the US takes your junk radio, guts it, restores the face, installs the new internals and wiring, and sets it up to work with your knobs and dials. The result works great. Plus it fits and looks perfect in my 1967 Cougar base because it is original. The amp has enough "oomph" to push 6x9s in the deck and 5-1/4s in the front pockets. Sound quality is excellent. Bluetooth pairing is easy. Really nice option here, thanks WCCC.
