I ordered these plasma bulbs as a upgrade to the 1157 incandescent bulbs for the brake lights for my 05 Kawasaki ZRX1200R. The light output is significantly greater than the stock bulbs. Was warned to stay away from LED bulbs because the brake light feature (element) was not distinguishable from the running lights and I would be rear ended. Not with these lights ! I am a retired Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor and safety is a paramount concern with car interactions. These lights will improve visibility to other motorists and make my commutes safer. I do plan on updating the blinker lights with the amber versions soon. Thanks guys for making the review video it sold me on the lights. I plan on showing the video to the other guys on the ZRX forum who don't like LED lights.

My Torino has GT taillights. The lense is thicker than cars now so you can’t even see the bulb inside the housing. I added a second 1157 bulb to each side and it helped.

When I installed the Plasma 1157, it was a huge difference. One plasma bulb is brighter than 2 1157 bulb in the same housing. A group of us were driving around the other day, (Bright sunny day), and they noticed the difference immediately. Thank You West Coast Classic Cougar for making these. Just Amazing

I bought these for the taillights of my 1968 Galaxie 500 fastback after trying several "regular" LED bulbs, and I'm so glad I did! With other bulbs and flashers I had no turn signals at all. Using the plasma bulbs with an electronic flasher, they work and fit perfectly. And they are much brighter than other other LED bulbs I've tried. I plan to order the yellow plasma bulbs soon for the front turn signals. Thanks for a great product!

These bulbs are incredible. Durable, perfect fit, less heat, and by far the most visible bulb I could get. Brilliant light for tail and stop lights.

My friends have tried over 30 different styles of LED bulbs and all have said these are by far the best. I have to agree with them.



I fitted them to my 65 Mustang; replacing the 1157 incandescent brake/blinker bulbs.



The only issue that may go against design rules is: when the brake lights are on and you use the blinker; the blinking bulb switches off completely during braking. The non blinking bulb is at high beam upon braking and the blinking bulb is switching from high beam to completely off. With the incandescents; the blinker hits high beam but slowly fades then blinks again before it switches off completely.



I believe the regulation in some Australian states require both left and right bulbs to be on at all times during braking; if the blinking bulb switched from high to low beam during braking that would possibly satisfy the regulation.

Got a pair of these red LEDs to replace the incandescent 1157s in my 1999 Kawasaki ZRX1100's tail light. I decided to get them after reading Wayne's positive review installing them in a similar motorcycle. The original lights were too dim and I was always worried about getting rear ended in stop and go traffic.

Wow, these LEDs look as bright in run mode as the old lights were when braking! And when braking they are way brighter!! Super highly recommended!!!

These things are truly great. I tried a number of other LED bulbs in my '69 Mustang tail lights, but none came close to these. The light spreads very well across the whole tail light panel and the brightness of the brake light/blinker function is amazing!



A little pricey compared to other LED solutions but worth every cent.

I use this bulbs as brake lights for my 79 chevy blazer. The brake lights are now really bright and visible on a sunny day. The reaction time is much faster compared with the original bulb. Definitely a benefit for safety.
