New vs. Refurbished

Originally bought a refurbished unit for my '67 Cougar. After install the car wouldn't turn left. It took 5 weeks of searching before a garage finally cracked the refurbished control valve open and found it full of metal filings. They said I needed all new parts and this time to buy new and not refurbished. I bought this one and it works great, with no hassles.
