Twenty years ago when my Cougar was my daily driver the front brake always grabbed, didn't even feel like the back brakes were working. Twenty years later with more time, Patience and money I bought this kit and discovered that the proportioning valve and distribution block pistons were both indeed stuck and the spring and seals had deteriorated. After watching the Youtube video I was able to do the rebuild and my brakes now function as they should.

This little kit worked great. The O-rings and spring were a perfect fit. The video is easy to follow and had the right tricks to get my valve rebuilt.

Mine proportioning valve was pretty much like in the video. It went smooth and easy. But the 67 distribution block doesn't have an opening on both sides and getting the shaft out was a bit tricky.I had to use every trick in the book to get it far enough to grab with a pair of needle nose. Now with these parts in working order and a new master cylinder my brakes are working like they should.

Excellen kit! I have rebuilt two of these now - on my 1968 Shelby GT500KR and my 1968 Cougar 427 GTE. Great kit, and Don's youtube clip makes it an easy afternoon job. Everything fits perfectly. Well done guys!
