NOTE!!!! This offshore switch is assembled with plated steel rivet contacts as opposed to brass rivet contacts like original. Whereas the Torino or Mustang do fine with 2 incandescent rear bulbs the Cougars with 6 bulbs put too much load on the switch and they fail. The only way these switches will hold up in a Cougar is if you convert to LED. Our turn signal switches are made on the FoMoCo original tooling. If you have replaced your sequential unit in the trunk with one of our new solid state sequential units and are still having problems then the turn signal switch is most likely the culprit as the only other part to the system is the wiring harness itself. Used shutoff valve for the headlight vacuum system of all 1969-70 Mercury Cougars. Also found on 1969-70 Ford and Mercury full sized cars with hidden headlights. Additionally these were also used on 1969-70 midsized Ford and Mercury such as Torino, Cyclone, also with hide away headlamps. Used and reusable backup lamp socket and wiring assembly for the reproduction reverse light chrome housings or to replace a damaged lead in your original 1969-70 Mercury Cougar reverse light. This light socket assembly uses the 1156 bulb. NOTE: These sockets are crimped from the factory and are difficult to remove. When re-installing, there won't be much "meat" left to flare out inside the bezel and you may run into issues with getting a good ground.
