There is not a special part number for this angled cup that was originally spot welded to the front of the headlamp switch. We offer these for use with our reproduction headlamp switch. This adapter or retainer is needed to correctly keep the headlamp switch at the correct angle to the lower metal dash. 1969-70 Mercury Cougar.

Courtesy light door jamb switch with automatic seat back release option. Three pin switch not for use without seat back release. Additionally, this three prong switch was used on most 1970-76 Full and mid sized Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln. Some with or without the seat back release option. This switch looks very close to original. On close inspection you will notice that there is no Autolite logo and the plastic is not as milky colored as the originals. Sold Individually. Replaces Ford Part #: C8AZ-13713-C.

This is a tested original FoMoCo headlight switch that will work, there is no warranty. The primary reason we list these old used switches is that some people are missing their switch altogether and need the beveled cup shaped spacer that mates to the dash. As pointed out in our listing for the reproduction headlight switch, the spacer is not included with our new units. Ford part # D0WB-11652.

Quality "STANDARD" brand reproduction switch for your vacuum actuated hideaway headlights. This switch fits multiple years and makes which means multiple dash configurations. NOTE!!!! This offshore switch is assembled with plated steel rivet contacts as opposed to brass rivet contacts like original. Whereas the Torino or Mustang do fine with 2 incandescent rear bulbs the Cougars with 6 bulbs put too much load on the switch and they fail. The only way these switches will hold up in a Cougar is if you convert to LED. Our turn signal switches are made on the FoMoCo original tooling. If you have replaced your sequential unit in the trunk with one of our new solid state sequential units and are still having problems then the turn signal switch is most likely the culprit as the only other part to the system is the wiring harness itself. When your lights are sequencing too rapidly, causing the outer light to not fully illuminate, your original unit is most likely the culprit.
