Reproduction shoulder belt bolt spacer for the 69 - 73 Cougar or Mustang. Does not have markings like the originals. One per side, two per car.

One per side, 1968 does not use the triangle markings. The letter "D" stamping was in place to aid line workers with correct placement on the car.

We claim that in time every nut bolt and clip will be documented on this site! Here is yet another tiny little, one year only trivial part that only the most detailed enthusiast will even care about. This little part is designed to space the column cover away from the metal lower dash so as to prevent dash squeaks. They are left natural, never painted (the one shown has surface rust). Two are required per car, they are sold individually. These little parts are often missing and of course not...

This is the plastic center piece you press down to release your seat belt on the 68 - 72 seat belts. It comes unbroken and without cracks. This button piece has original decal with starburst design. Spring is included. Check out our video "All about seat belts" below.

Spring used to apply tension to the tilt locking pawl. 1967 thru 1969 required two springs due to the tilt away function. 1970 and later required only one spring.*NOTE* For tilt column service, you can contact Tony Augustine at 6t8cougarguy@gmail.com. This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. Fits 1967-73 Mercury Cougar and 1965-73 Ford Mustang. Technically this spring fits all Ford and Mercury floor shifters 1965-73. Ford part number C5ZZ-7C300-A. The MPC shows this spring to have a free length of 2-1/16 inches.

This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber.

This nice used original part will have no broken tabs as seen on our grade 'B' version. This grade 'A' part will include two metal clip-on spacers as shown. 1970 is the only year 69-73 that Mustang and Cougar column covers interchange. You will need to paint this part to match your interior.

This used original part will have a broken tab so you will have to use a over-sized washer or some other clever means of properly attaching it to the underside of your dash. This grade be part will not include the metal spacers seen on our grade 'A' part. Excellent quality reproduction sun visor assemblies and corner trim for the convertible 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. NOTE!!!! This offshore switch is assembled with plated steel rivet contacts as opposed to brass rivet contacts like original. Whereas the Torino or Mustang do fine with 2 incandescent rear bulbs the Cougars with 6 bulbs put too much load on the switch and they fail. The only way these switches will hold up in a Cougar is if you convert to LED. Our turn signal switches are made on the FoMoCo original tooling. If you have replaced your sequential unit in the trunk with one of our new solid state sequential units and are still having problems then the turn signal switch is most likely the culprit as the only other part to the system is the wiring harness itself. Often when your brake lights are not working the turn signal switch is the culprit as the brake lights feed through the turn signal switch. This switch also fits the 1970-1972...

This little cover glues onto your spoke at 6 o'clock and serves to cover the gap between where your rubber horn switch starts and then stops. This plastic cover was put in place to cover the void at the very top of the panel. They are side specific and the textured side is installed upwards, on the bottom side you will find the Ford engineering number C9ZB-7654606-A and are marked R.H. for the passenger side.

This is an exact replacement for a 1970 remote sport mirror. Nearly indistinguishable from a 1968. Obviously a larger ball and longer than found on 1969, 1971-73 remote mirrors. AMK seat belt washer B-13023. 0.46" ID x 1.25" OD zinc flat washer. Sized so that it rides on the shoulder of the seat belt bolts. It allows the retractor to rotate freely between this washer and the head of the seat belt bolt on 1969-73 cars. Two required per car, used only on the re-tractors.

This is the rubber spacer / washer that goes between the bolt head and the metal washer of your seat belt hardware. The purpose of the rubber washer is to dampen any vibrations caused by the movement of the seat belt.Sold individually# 354959-S
