This aluminum backed, tar sound deadener with adhesive is approximately 1/16 of an inch thick and works well behind door panels, at the firewall and under the headliner as a sound, heat and vapor barrier. One sheet required per door. Cut to fit, then remove paper backing to reveal adhesive, and stick in place. This gives the thumb release button in your T shaped shift handle its tension. If it is rusted then your button will not return back to its outer position easily. This clip is the same as a door panel clip with the exception that it does not have the foam spacer. This clip was used on the 1968 XR7 overhead console, 1967 - 1968 xr7 and standard model upper and lower console pads, seat back access panels and several other applications. This original clip holds tighter than the reproduction. We recommend using this used clip over our reproduction for applications like the seat back because the reproductions often do not cut it. Standard belts can be identified in 1967 by the plastic lift up female buckle. Deluxe belts are identified by the metal female buckle that are released by a center button. All xr7 models had deluxe belts in 67, deluxe was optional in the standard models. This is the very best we can offer. No cracks in the plastic holster, good color and no fraying on the webbing, good chrome on the male buckle and it may even have the date code tag still in place.
