Front retractor bolt, used in conjunction with two rubber spacer / washers and one washer. The two rubber washers go on either side of the re-tractor mounting hole and the metal washer is against the inner rocker.

Inner front bolt, long length to clear sound deadener. Used in conjunction with a thick, gold spacer washer.

Rear seat belt bolt, four per car used in conjunction with two red washer / spacers. 13/16" hex head, 1-1/4 inch bolt with a 3/16 inch shoulder. Can be either smooth headed or have a Heavy or Light "A". There is another version of this same bolt with a smooth head and no markings.

Four of these bolts are used to secure the isolator portion of the engine mounts to the 289/302/351 blocks. Includes 351W and 351C engines. 5/8" hex head bolt. Sold as a set of 4. Concours phosphate & Oil (gray-black).

Measures 3/4" tall with a captured lock washer. These were removed from 1969 and 1970 428 Cobra Jet Fans. More research is needed before we can conclusively post the interchange and application details on these bolts. Would love to hear what you have found on your original Cougars equipped with a fan clutch.

Delicate clip that attaches to a nail-head stud attached to the firewall. Very functional and visible, rather hard to find in unbroken condition.

This clip looks just like the larger quarter extension moulding / trim moulding clip, but is smaller (as our comparison picture shows). These little clips are what were used to fasten the dash face pad to the dash bezels on a 1968 standard or decor level Cougar. They are very difficult to come by and we have yet to find a suitable substitute. This "D" clip is larger than that found on the Mustangs and 1967 Cougar because it not only hung the wiring loom on the driver side of your engine compartment but also the vacuum lines going to the headlight switch. This clip is also found under the starter solenoid and under dash.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

Pair of used assembly line installed 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator rear spoiler brackets. Brackets only, no fasteners or spacers. Sold as a pair as shown, right and left side brackets. This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line, and different routing (through the transmission tunnel), and did not use this part. Mounting bolts included.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. You will notice the reproduction has a larger head (The two on the right in the lower picture are repros) than both of the used versions typically found on 67-73 Cougars. This will be a benefit to those that have elongated screw holes on your wheel lip mouldings from corrosion or improper removal. 1969-70 actually used a star head bolt but these are a much more user friendly screw that will work in its place. Sold in a set of four which is what you will need for one seat.

Now you can replace this original part, which is commonly stripped out, with a nice reproduction. Must be welded to floor pan. 6 total per car, 2 inboard in the transmission tunnel, and 4 on the rear seat pans.
