These barrel nuts or clips are exactly like the original ones inserted into the trunk for attaching 1967-68 "Mercury" script, and 1971-72 Mercury Cougar "Mercury" Hood scripts. Front retractor bolt, used in conjunction with two rubber spacer / washers and one washer. The two rubber washers go on either side of the re-tractor mounting hole and the metal washer is against the inner rocker.

This is the Water Pump Bolt Kit for 1967-68 Mercury Cougar and 1965-68 Ford Mustang with the 289 or 302 engines without air conditioning. This kit includes the 11 bolts needed to mount the water pump to the motor.  This kit comes with an instruction sheet, and shows the correct placement of the bolts.

This clip looks just like the smaller rear deck / trunk lid moulding clip but is larger (as our comparison picture shows). One clip per side is used to attach the tail end (larger end) of the moulding to the extension. Rarely will the clip you get look as good as the pictured here, usually the "finger" will be missing. New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

Very hard to find used wire access retainer for the 67 Cougar or Mustang Tilt column. The fixed column uses a different size retainer and will not interchange. Ford part number C7ZZ-9D753-EThe Ford diagram lists the part number as 9D753

Replaces Ford Part #: C0AB-6423240-B. Four required per car, two per side. If your quarter glass is loose in the track and will not roll up and down these rollers are most likely the culprit. When the tracks get gummed up and the window takes too much effort to roll up and down, these brittle old rollers will break. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

Now you can replace this original part, which is commonly stripped out, with a nice reproduction. Must be welded to floor pan. 6 total per car, 2 inboard in the transmission tunnel, and 4 on the rear seat pans.
