The 289 used a transverse muffler with hangers on either end and dual exhaust was not an option. The 289 Cougars for 1967 also did not use a tail pipe hanger like their 390 brethren did, the tail pipes were free hanging. We have observed in the many 1967 parts cars in our yard that many Cougars have had an after market tail pipe hanger installed at some point. Many Cougars have a hanger welded or bolted to the passenger side tie down bracket.

Includes the two muffler (aka resonator) hangers and two tail pipe hangers. Only the 390 got tail pipe hangers in 1967, the 1967 289 had muffler hangers only and dual exhaust was not an option on a 1967 289 equipped Cougar, even if it were an "A" code 289 4V. Will not be overly rusty and will have decent rubber still intact. We cannot guarantee that the mounting hardware will be included as shown on the resonator brackets.

Grade B exhaust manifold heat shield for any 1970 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with 351C engine, 2V or 4V, it doesn't matter. Uses a separate, small diameter metal tube (part number D0OZ-9652-A) that attaches to the 1970 Cleveland air cleaner snorkel. Grade B used will have minor pitting, and may have small holes and or rough rusted edges. When mounted it would be difficult to see the defects. Air cleaner pre-heater paper hose. Should fit most applications from 1970-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with V8 engines. 2 inch inside diameter, we cut these to about 9 inches long. Correct black paper outside, flexible paper tube, kind of like a Slinky. Please verify your needed length, we leave them a bit longer than needed so that they fit more than one application.

This is a rare find... This used 4 piece bracket set was taken from a June 17th built 1968 390 X code Cougar with factory dual exhaust. These are much cleaner used parts than you will see in other regions as they have never been exposed to road salt. D0AE-9431-A 351-2V Cleveland, factory original cast iron exhaust manifold for driver side.
