I bought a used 1970 cougar in 1976 during my last year in high school for $300. It was buried in snow but we towed it out and the work began. Got it running and I used it daily for several years and enjoyed driving it.

I was lucky enough back then, to buy the LAST quarter panels available from Ford along with the last front passenger fender and passenger door skin (all FOMOCO). After the panels were replaced, it sat in the garage for an embarrassing long time while we started our family. When my oldest son was 16, he pushed me to get it out of the garage. The remaining bodywork was completed with new paint etc. and the 351C 4V eliminator (1 of 2 per Marti Report) was restored to driving again. The running engine was pulled and kept aside (for number matching) while a new 351c block was obtained and a local engine shop created a 393ci and that is what is in it now. I still have it today, 50 years later.

Although I have not needed many parts over the years, WCCC has always been there with invaluable research and parts. If it had not been for WCCC, I would most likely have got rid of the car 30 years ago because it was such an off beat car with no local knowledge, support or parts.

WCCC made it easy to own and keep a classic cougar.

I just installed the plasma leds. They are tremendous. Such a difference . Love them ! I have owned this car for 4 years. This was one of my todo lists. Finally installed and boy I am happy with them!

The very first car I owned was a 1967 Cougar XR7 back in 1982. I fell in love with the car and gave it all I could that was available back then in Midwest Indiana. Unfortunately in 1986 the car was totaled. I've spent the last 3-1/2 decades dreaming of another one. Last year I found one and pulled the trigger. I was excited to find West Coast Cougars and the massive amount of parts offerings new and used along with all of the amazing videos and knowledge they have to offer. I'm about 80% complete on a complete strip down rebuild and I have utilized WCCC for all of my needs.

The staff up to and including Don have been absolutely amazing along this journey. Because of WCC I know more about my dream car than I ever thought possible. The website is great, the cougar community has been a major help. Recently I called and Don answered and it was like I already knew him personally for years and he treated me just like that. Props to staff members Darryl and Junior for one on one support they have given over the past year plus of my rebuild. If you have a Cougar you need to make WCCC the first stop for your needs.
