This decal can be used to overlay your replacement oil filter, so it looks more like a vintage original oil filter. Research indicates that the gold was primarily used on 66 and earlier, as was the red. Reproduction Space Save Tire Instructions Decal for the 1968 - 1973 Mercury Cougar / Ford MustangThis yellow sticker actually came out in 1971-ish. These were sent to previous owners of cars with space saver tires, with instructions to apply sticker to the space saver rim. We believe that they were factory installed with B.F. Goodrich space saver tires starting in 1971 for safety reasons.

This is an accurate reproduction of the tie down notice decal that was placed on the rear license plate frame. This was to remind dealers to remove the tie down plates that were used to secure the cars to the transport trains / trucks on their way from the factory to the dealers. Ford wanted to recycle these plates to save money, but dealers often didn't feel it was worth their time to remove the plates. Thus, many cars still have them. Check yours out! ...
