Very difficult to find, delicate aluminum quarter panel emblem in the original Ford box. Ford part number is C9WB-6525622-A, casting number on back reads C9WB-65291B62-AYou can reference the above pictures for correct dimensions, as taken from one of our cars using an original script emblem. Measurements are from the rear and lower body lines.

This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. The tail will always be broken and probably at least one leg is missing on this grade B part. While not an exact fit our 3 spoke wheel emblem cat will fit on this black background.

This is one of the smallest "Cougar" emblems ever put on a Mercury Cougar. Only the 70-73 two spoke cat and xr7-G shift handle Cougar was smaller. It is also the most delicate! Very unusual to find the tail and all limbs intact on this fragile little kitty. Silver spray paint will make this cat look new again, they did not have a chrome finish from the factory. Now that we have reproduced this emblem there is little incentive to purchase this over-priced used emblem.

These two emblems were sold separate when ordered as a service replacement part. We sell them as a pair. Located on the passenger side of the trunk, these are a peel and stick with no mounting studs. This is a used fuel door insert we have cleaned up, painted the background black and installed a 1967-1969 headlight door walking cat emblem on. The original 1970 ELIMINATOR piece that this resembles had a smaller sized cat so this is not exactly correct for your original 1970 Eliminator.
