Reproduction cigar / cigarette lighter for the 71 - 73 Cougar.

Perfect fit, easy to replace and will be a great upgrade over your original scratched and or pitted knob. To remove, reach behind the dash and locate the small, round spring loaded button on the top side of your headlight switch. Depress the button while firmly grasping the knob and move back and forth until it releases. This is one of the easier knobs to find in that it does not break easily and can be found on many 1967 FoMoCo products. Rare plastic radio knob used only with the 1967 XR7 and standard Cougar console. This knob differs from the Mustang console and Cougar / Mustang non console knob in that it is deeper to clear the console pad unique to the 1967 Cougar. Rare radio knob used only on the 1967 XR7 and standard Cougar console. This knob differs from the Mustang console and Cougar / Mustang non console knob in that it is deeper to clear the console pad that is unique to the 1967 Mercury Cougar. Early standard model Cougars with the console used a more petite version of this plastic knob. Replaces part # C7WA-18817-B

Used wiper knob for any 1967 Mercury Cougar. This version is smaller than the 1968 knob. Unlike the 1968 version, there is no set screw, and is simply pressed into place. You may need to use a bit of adhesive to hold in place. Good condition, will have a small rust pit or two.

Used knob for wiper control switch on dash panel. Constructed of metal with chrome, may show some wear on the black painted section and flaws in the plating.Ford part number C9ZZ-17513-C.

This knob set differs from the set used later in 1967 only in that the outer knob has a lower profile head. Keep in mind we have reproduction knobs that will work in place of these.

This set of reproduction used knobs is for 1968 Cougar / Mustangs without factory console. The exception to the rule would be the XR7G. Cougars equipped with a console need the longer version of this knob to clear the padded console face. If you happen to have a 1969 or newer radio then the radio has longer shafts and these knobs may in fact work with a console. The early Cougars had a lower profile head on the outer knob. It is assumed they beefed up the design in early in the year because the knobs were easily broken. These delicate plastic knobs are very hard to find in this condition. Only the utmost purist would care to obtain a trivial detail part such as these to make their car correct. Good reproduction of a very sought after part. Correct thickness, comes with correct green marker needle. If your current lens is foggy it will not buff out as the problem is internal, not on the surface of the lens. We have been waiting a long time for this one! To get these lenses looking new you will have to use a three step plastic polish like Novus or Meguires plastic polish.
