    Tested and inspected neutral safety switch for the FMX transmission installed for a short time in 1972 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Found on cars build between 12/1/1971 and 1/5/1972.
    Look for a transmission code of X on your door data plate. If your car has a code U, your original transmission was an C6 and uses a different neutral safety switch.
