    Adjustable rod that connects the floor shifter to the C-6 automatic transmissions. C6 transmissions only, found optionally on any 1971 Cougar. Code "U" on your door data plate tag. C-6 automatic transmission. Shift rod approximately 18 inches long. Rod originally had a "Red" paint daub for identification purposes on the Dearborn assembly line. 1971 only. Rod marked D1ZA-7340-BA.
