Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Used in-tank, fuel sending unit without the low fuel option. Tested and cleaned units for all 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 with 22 gallon fuel tanks. This is an original 1971 fuel sending unit that has a return fuel line, and with 3 prongs (2 electrical and 1 alignment prong). Ford casting number D1WF-9275-B, master parts catalog number D1WY-9275-B. This unit comes with a new 3/8 inch filter, brass float, and sending unit gasket.
*Note - Not compatible with Mercury Cougar Standard models without low fuel warning light.
**Low fuel warning portion will not be working on these used units, the Thermisters all failed years ago.
