This power steering drag link may have a 1970 part number, but it is basically the same as the 1969 Boss 302 version, which was much thicker than the standard 1969 power steering drag link. Can be installed on 1969 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs as long as you upgrade to 1970 inner tie rods.
The 1970 drag link measures about 0.850 inches thick.
The 1969 drag link measures about 0.790 inches thick.
This is a used part that is over 50 years old. The threads for the control valve will be in 'good' condition, but there is a high likelihood that the hole for the shear pin will have a broken pin inside.
