    Rod used for locking the 4 speed manual transmission in "Reverse". Connects to the lower tab of the steering column and the reverse control transmission lever shift arm. Prevents the transmission from shifting out of reverse when the ignition key is removed. Rod is about 15-1/2 inches long. The 4 speed manual transmission, could be ordered on any 1970 Cougar or Mustang regardless of engine (except Boss 429). Transmission code "5" or "6" on your door data tag. Ford part number D0ZZ-7E330-C. Ford casting number DOZA-7E330-S.

    *Trivia - Starting in 1970 Mercury installed "Hurst" Competition brand shifters on their 4 speed manual transmission Cougars.
