Rarely will you find perfect vinyl on a rear convertible panel. Our grade "A" rating refers to the condition of the plastic backing, not the vinyl.

Whenever possible we include broken off tabs on our grade B rear panels. Keep in mind the panel pictured will not be the panel you receive but rather a like item.

This pair of plates cut from 11 gauge steel (1/8") are designed to be welded onto the front crossmember that braces the front frame rails and ties together the lower control arm pivots in a superior way to the original design. Grade B used convertible sun visor bracket assembly for the driver side of any 1969-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Grade B will have some pitting in the pot metal. This kit is easier to install than you may think! Five piece kit, comes with installation instructions. This four used piece wiring kit gives you all the factory correct wiring unique to a 1969 XR7, 1969 standard or 1970 standard convertible. This IS NOT correct for a 1970 XR7 convertible. This black wire attaches to the fusible link coming off the starter solenoid on one end then passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring at the other end. Correct for both XR7, Standard convertibles and power sunroof equipped Cougars.

This short harness attaches to the black power wire coming from the starter solenoid and then attaches to the harness that brings the power back to the convertible top pump or power sunroof motor. Preproduction wiring harness, connects the convertible top switch to the pump on both the xr7 and standard model Cougars and Mustang 1969 - 1973 convertibles.

This harness connects the convertible top motor to the under dash convertible top harness under the dash. Fits 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1969-70 Ford Mustang. This wire rests in the trough under the passenger side sill plate and goes behind the back seat where the convertible top pump is located.Ford part number C9ZB-15A668-B.

This harness connects the convertible top switch to the pump on both the xr7 and standard 1969 - 1973 convertibles.

This black wire attaches to the fusible link. The Fusible link connects to the starter solenoid with an eyelet connector, then connects to this wire with a billet connector. This wire then passes through the firewall to mate with the power top switch wiring under the dash. This black wire attaches to the Circuit Breaker coming off the starter solenoid on one end then passes through the firewall to mate with the top switch wiring harness at the other end. We believe that some 1969 harnesses may have used a fusible link wiring harness in place of this one. WOW! How long have we been trying to scrounge up good used pins for restoration? These are identical to what is found on all 1969 Cougar and Mustang Convertibles. They are correct for most of the 1970 model year and even if you are one of the few that own a late 1970 Mustang / Cougar they will work on your car too. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.
