The Mustang and Cougar have identical consoles for the 1971 - 1973 model years. This is a premium quality bezel that houses the clock and surrounds the manual or automatic shifter. Nice reproduction clear rectangular clock lens for consoles. Fits all 1971-73 Cougar and Mustang consoles. The only downside is that these lenses have a slight manufacturing flaw - there is a small crack in the hole for the clock knob (see pictures above.) Although you won't notice it unless you look closely, we prefer to be up-front about the products we sell. New chrome finish screws for attaching OEM consoles. Screws fit all stock consoles 1967-73 on Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang, most any Ford consoles actually. Phillips head oval. 1967-68 consoles use 4 attaching screws, 1969-70 consoles need 6 along the outside, 1971-73 consoles have a total of 8 screws along the outside. These are 1-1/2 inches long like the originals.

Reproduction aluminum shift indicator console overlay for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Although a brushed finish is correct, this reproduction has a coarser brush stroke when compared to the originals and is a bit dull.  We recommend a quick polish to make them look closer to the finish of the originals. Both shift indicator lamps with or without a console used the same wire harness and socket, but used different diffusers. Used diffuser for the shift indicator lamp. This diffuser is used on the Cougar or Mustang WITHOUT a console and attaches to the end of the light socket on your shift indicator wire harness. Both shift indicator lamps with or without a console used the same wire harness and socket, but used different diffusers. The only difference in the harness from the 67 to the 68 was different colored wires.

You will not realize how yellowed your original is until you put it next to this new one. Correct for XR7 or standard 67-68 consoles. Note, these install much easier if you trim a small sliver off each of the four mounting tabs with a utility blade.

Ford calls this part a 'mask'. This clamps to the chromed lever and holds the socket and bulb that are attached to the neutral safety switch, which are the shifter indicator light for the floor shifter.
