Description

Locking pawl catch pin and locking pawl pin for your 70-73 Lincoln - Mercury - Ford tilt steering columns. This is an improved reproduction with cir-clips to prevent movement, avoiding damage to you locking pawl. These shafts are notorious for working their way out of place with normal use. Once the pin works its way out the locking pawl will not be aligned with the teeth and the cast part will break under pressure. Upgrading to these parts can avoid several hundred dollars in damage. These precision parts are made from drill bit blanks and will never fail. Lifetime warranty. On the 70-73, you will need two different pins, both included in this set.

1969 tilt wheel pin replacement

I was working on my turn signals and decided to be proactive and replace my pins before they work themselves out. One was already starting to work loose. I watched the video before and was able to replace both pins in about 10 mins . Easy job - just be patient

Perfect!

My pawl was only chipped on the edge due to the pin slipping part way out. This set worked well to get my tilt working correctly again and pin will stay in place. Great product.

Good parts, I highly suggest sending your column in to be rebuilt! I am very good at rebuilding things and this got me!
