Good used base with no cracks. The Cougars equipped with air conditioning had the last few inches trimmed off. It is a rather rough, hand cut from the factory. The 1968 standard base is different from 1967 standard base in that the 68 had two holes drilled in the base towards the back to fasten the top pad, there is no metal clip to hold the chrome shifter bezel in place as the chrome shifter plate is on top the pad and there are embossed areas on the underside for three Phillips screws to fasten the three wiring loop holders to the passenger side. One last difference with the 1968 standard base is that there is a notch for the windlace at the very tip on either side. This was done to accommodate the wrap around styling of the radio face pad.
All of our 50 year old bases have some amount of cracks, chips or extra holes drilled. Please contact us for condition and colors on hand for any given application. Often we can provide digital pictures within a couple days of your inquiry.
*NOTE* The base shown has not been cut for A/C.
