All 1968 - 1970 Cougars with 390GT, 427, 428CJ, and Boss 302 Eliminators had the Competition Handling Package standard. Additionally, *1972 and 1973 Cougars with the 351CJ engine (Q engine code) also received the Comp Handling package. These have a length of 7 inches from the inside radius. The Competition Handling Package was available optionally on any Cougar during those years. We recommend purchasing this U bolt new. They take a lot of abuse and the threads tend to stretch.
*1972 exception - Early production cars, before 9-1-1971 used D1ZZ-5796-A or B shock plates. Those shock plates used an overall shorter U-Bolt.
