    Description

Contrary to what you might think at first glance, the support rods used in 1967 - 1968 Cougar headliners are not the same front to back. Each of the rods is bowed to a different curve. To replace a headliner and make it look right, you must keep the rods in the same order as they came out of the original headliner. To help you do this, Lincoln-Mercury coded each rod with a color applied to each end. From front to rear, the 1967 - 1968 color codes of the headliner rods are:

    • None
    • Red
    • White
    • Brown

Once installed in the car, each rod should be about the same distance from the roof as the other rods.

WCCC marks the bows with a sharpie pen, 1 hash mark, 2 hash marks, etc. starting from the front of the car.

This listing is for a good used set of four headliner bows taken from a parts car. They will not be heavily rusted or bent. The anchor wires measure 5-9/16" for 67-68. Anchor wires sold separately and are in limited quantity.

*NOTE* The four bows and two anchor clips shown are from a 1968 Cougar. You do not have to purchase anchor clips, you can just take note of the lengths we have listed here and use a zip tie or wire tie to anchor the rear bow to the support just above the rear window.

    Fits:

    • 1967 Mercury Cougar
    • 1968 Mercury Cougar

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

WCCC makes finding the right part with the right fit easy. I love that they try to get great parts and when there are parts that don't meet their standard they WARN you up front! I've bought new reproduction parts from them, used parts and even had...
