This rod bridges the gap between the trunk lock cylinder and trunk latch. It is held in place by the round spring that attaches to the back of the trunk lock cylinder. Reproduction Fender Extension Stud & Nut Kit for the 67 - 69 Cougar or Mustang

These reproduction hood and hinge bolts and U nuts fir both the Standard and XR7.

Correct Fit and finish for 1967, and works for 1968. Connects the overhead roof console to the mounting bracket. The only difference between the 67 and 68 kits are that the 67 screws are chrome and the 68 are zinc. The zinc will discolor over time, so we suggest using the 67 kit on a 68. The dimensions are EXACT down to the 1/16", black primer finish is very similar to what the later service replacement parts were from Ford. The fender weighs a few pounds more than original due to being made from slightly thicker material than OEM. This assembly is spot welded to the fender skin. Sometimes this area will be damaged in a collision but the skin will still be fine. Due to the rarity of good fenders and the costly shipping you may want to consider repairing your fender as opposed to buying another if this is all you need.

This unit consists of a metal shield with rubber stapled to the edges mimicking the fender contours. In most cases, these used shields will need to have the stapled rubber shields replaced. Same part as the1967 piece, but with a section cut out for the marker light housing. A Mustang shield will not fit a Cougar Because the fender has a much different contour.Ford part # C8WY-16A574-A.
