This clip looks just like the larger quarter extension moulding / trim moulding clip, but is smaller (as our comparison picture shows). One clip per side is used to attach the tail end (smaller end) of the moulding / trim to the extension. This unit is also almost exactly the same as the rear deck / trunk lid moulding / trim clip, but this quarter extension clip has a slightly shorter stud. Rarely will the clip you get look as good as the pictured here, usually the "finger" will be missing....

This trim clip is a little larger than the original C4GB-6242364-A retainer assembly Ford used and looks a little different, but will work just fine for the front extension mouldings. Reproduction metal rear deck / trunk lid moulding / trim clip for the Mercury Cougar. This clip comes with a correct looking nut and works with the 1967-68 aluminum trim and the 1969-70 stainless steel trim.
