A/C Compressor Lateral Support Brackets

Used cast iron lateral compressor support bracket for Cougars and Mustangs built prior to 1/3/1967 with the 289 engine. Must be used with adjusting bracket C5AA-8A619-B pulley assembly and pedestal bracket C7ZA-2882-C.Ford part # C7ZA-2888-C

Used cast iron lateral compressor support bracket for Cougars and Mustangs built after 1/3/1967 and 1968 cars built prior to 3/1/1968, for both the 289 and 302 engine. Must be used with adjusting bracket C7AZ-8678-B pulley assembly, and pedestal bracket C7AA-2882-L.Ford part # C7AA-2888-G or C7AZ-2888-F.

Used stamped steel lateral compressor support bracket for Cougars and Mustangs built after 3/1/1968 with the 289 or 302 engine. Very close in design to the 1969 351 Windsor, but smaller overall.Ford part # C8AZ-2888-B.

Used stamped steel lateral support bracket for all 1970 Mercury Cougars and Ford Mustangs with the 351 Windsor or Cleveland engine. Ford part # D0OZ-2888-A*NOTE* - Excludes all 1969 351 Windsor engines.

Used steel lateral support bracket for 1967 Cougars and Mustangs with the S code 390 engine. Similar to the more commonly found 68-70 bracket but different in multiple ways, most noticeably is the lip on the 1967 "C" shaped area points outward (towards the radiator). Below are some pictures of a 390 with AC and smog. This motor was pulled from a 1967 Thunderbird so there are a few minor differences when compared to a 1967 Mustang or Cougar but the mounting of brackets and belt alignment are...

Used steel lateral support brace for Cougars and Mustangs with the 429CJ engine. Also used on 1970 - 1971 Torinos, Rancheros, and Cyclones equipped with the 429CJ engine. Replaces part #  D0AZ-2888-A.

Used quarter window lower window guide stop. Made of black plastic, held on by a single bolt. Mounts to the window guide on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang Coupe or convertible. One per side, sold individually.Replaces part # D1ZZ-6539805-A.

Used front support bracket for the air conditioning compressor assembly. Starting in 1971, Ford eliminated the idler pulley and used this bracket in it's place. Replaces part # D1AZ-2888-B.
