This nice used original part will have no broken tabs as seen on our grade 'B' version. This grade 'A' part will include two metal clip-on spacers as shown. 1970 is the only year 69-73 that Mustang and Cougar column covers interchange. You will need to paint this part to match your interior.

Grade 'A' part that will have none of the four mounting tabs broken or cracked. Enter your preferred color in the order notes at checkout and we will attempt to accommodate you.

This used original part will have a broken tab so you will have to use a over-sized washer or some other clever means of properly attaching it to the underside of your dash. This grade be part will not include the metal spacers seen on our grade 'A' part. Even with a broken tab this is a much better looking and fitting part than our economy reproduction. 1970 is the only year 69-73 that Mustang and Cougar column covers interchange. The relay under the dash almost always is weak (pulsates dimly instead of distinct blinking) but its sole purpose is to illuminate the directional arrows on the dash and does...

If you have replaced your sequential unit in the trunk with one of our new solid state sequential units and are still having problems then the turn signal switch is most likely the culprit as the only other part to the system is the wiring harness itself. NOTE!!!! This offshore switch is assembled with plated steel rivet contacts as opposed to brass rivet contacts like original. Whereas the Torino or Mustang do fine with 2 incandescent rear bulbs the Cougars with 6 bulbs put too much load on the switch and they fail. The only way these switches will hold up in a Cougar is if you convert to LED. These differ from 68-69 in that there is no starter safety switch embedded in them. This is a used part, tested, lubed, and working. There is an active thread on the Classic Cougar Community Forum discussing tilt columns and trouble shooting.
