Ford called this small door latch part an adjuster. It threads onto the bottom of the door latch rod inside the door. Common to most Ford products 1965-1970. Ford part number C5AZ-62218106-A.

Reproduction rubber bumper for your 67 - 73 Cougar or Mustang door latch mechanism. The bumper sits on the inside of your door latch mechanism, and is there to dampen the blow from the striker when you close your door.

*NOTE - These knobs are NOT in the original Ford packaging, they were bought in bulk from a supplier who did not provide packaging. This style of knob was used on almost all Ford products starting in 1968 and continuing on through the late 1970's. The latest renditions in reproduction form are actually pretty good but for the purist these make a nice touch. Paste the part number into the Ebay search box and sometimes you can get lucky and get a pair for under $30. Limited supply, original...

1969-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang door lock rod. This is the short rod that goes between the door key lock and the latch mechanism. Same part right or left, just under 6 inches in length, no threads on this rod. Ford part number C9ZZ-6522134-A.
