Reproduction pair of rear bumper corner fillers for the 67 - 68 Cougar. The Mercury MPC refers to these as "anti squeak pads."  Replaces Ford part numbers: Driver side - C7WY-16304-C                                            Passenger Side - C7WY-16304-D

This is a Mustang kit and it includes 4 screws, 2 metal nuts, 2 self-threading plastic nuts and 2 anti-rattle bumpers as pictured.For Cougar, you need this kit plus 2 more plastic nuts, found here.

Reproduction Front Bumper Guard Bolts & J Nuts for the 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar 

This is the large horizontal bracket that reinforces the front bumper on any 1971-72 Mercury Cougar. This is one of 6 brackets needed for mounting the front bumper. These were bare steel and some of our used brackets will have some erosion or minor rust. Structurally they are fine. Replaces Ford part number D1WY-17A792-A.

These hard rubber bump strips attach to the front bumper guards with 2 studs from the back side. Extreme care is needed prior to attempting to remove them. If you force the nut from the backside you will dislodge the stud from the rubber. For best results use a small wire brush on the studs first and soak liberally with a product like PB Blaster. This D3ZZ-17830 rubber strip is actually intended for a 1973 Ford Mustang rear bumper but properly modified they do work nicely on a 1973 Cougar front bumper that requires impact strips. These are "substitute" parts and will involve bending them to the contour of your bumper, trimming them on one end and drilling three holes in your bumper. These are the brackets required to mount the optional rear bumper guards. They mount behind the rear valance and are often overlooked when people part out a Cougar. *NOTE* As is often the case, service replacement parts are painted satin black and the originals installed on the assembly line were left natural. The mounting brackets are in fact supposed to have a natural finish if your car came with them from the factory.

This kit includes all new hardware, and both brackets. Mounting diagram not included (you can save and print the photo above). As shown, 1967 - 1968 rear bumper guards mount 17.5" from the center line of the car. Clip and bolt hardware kit will be new pieces.

Correct size and style white square plastic insert that clips onto front or rear license plate bracket on any 1967-73 Mercury Cougar. Each kit allows one license plate to be mounted. The actual screw has a large head which is made for license plates, but is not the factory Ford style of fastener for Concours judged cars. These "T" shaped retainers very closely resemble the originals. *Note - These are included with the purchase of our used front license plate bracket.
