Made from a spongy rubber, attaches to the heater core and seals the firewall from the inside. This grommet does not use a retaining bracket like previous years. Concours correct white striped heater hose for 1967 and early (prior to 2/1/1968) 1968 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with factory or integral A/C. Durable white striping with no mention of "Autolite" - this particular hose did not come with that marking. The 'with air conditioning' hoses have correctly molded 90 degree elbows that fit on the water valve side. Some length trimming may be needed for a tight looking fit.
