Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Limited slip, nodular 9 inch Ford third member rebuilt with all new or reconditioned parts. Used modern design Detroit Locker unit, new Richmond ring and pinion gear, new Timkin bearings, new selective size sleeve, new bolts, and new seal. Rebuilt using 1967-1973 nodular 9 inch cases with oil fill plug, for 28 or 31 splined axles. This unit was used in 1967-73 Cougars and Mustangs, but it also came in any other Fords or Mercurys with a 9 inch drop out center section. *NOTE* Used Detroit Locker units only. These are the modern updated large spring versions. Detroit lockers only available in the nodular cases.
**NOTE** Gear ratios with new Richmond gears - 3.00, 3.25, 3.50, 3.70, 3.89, 4.11, 4.30. Other ratio's available on request. 2.47, 2.86, 2.91, 3.15, and 3.91. Up-charge for 3.91 gears.
