Authentic looking hard reproduction plastic Sport Mirror pad gasket. Correct for driver side Cougar Sport Mirrors 1971-73 and passenger side Torino / Cougar Sport Mirrors 1970-73. This is not the best fitting gasket, but with a little trimming and modifying, it works fine.

    Replaces Ford #: C90Z-17724-B and D1WB-17C701-AB.

It's simple plastic pad. It would be ok, unfortunately is about a 1/4" shorter then it should be.

    Mirror and door handle gaskets

This gasket (26615) required a little modification to fit the Torino sport mirror base at the front edge. I found that if you trim the ridge off of the leading edge, the mirror will tighten properly. Otherwise if installed as delivered, the mirror won't nest inside the door's character lines securely.

Also note gasket set 41500 was described as a seven piece set but was delivered as only a four piece set including the door handle parts and not the door/deck lock gaskets.

    Cons:
Compared to other mirror pads for these applications that are sold the quality is perfect..but beware...they are a little short...but don't despair...if you are working with a mirror base prior to painting you can massage the fit a bit to make the fit perfect...but if the base is already painted then go with an original. This "short" coming may only be a batch issue since the one I purchased 6 months ago fit great.
