This tower is identical to every other 1967-70 tower in every way except the reinforcement plate. In late 1968 390-427-428 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang came with this reinforced tower due to a problem they were having with structural cracking. No specific part number for this structural front suspension section with or without wrap around bracing.
This example was actually taken from a very early 1969 San Jose built Cougar and is identical to the late 68 Big Block Tower. The only reason you would pay the extra money for this rare tower is if you were repairing a like car and need an exact match. If you are looking to upgrade a car that did not originally have reinforced towers you would want to purchase our 69 towers that have a larger reinforcement plate and cost much less.
Generic Ford part # C7ZZ-16054-C, includes apron and side member.
