    Description

Here is a piece that will allow to install a modern DIN radio / CD player into your Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. No hacking or cutting required!

*TRIVIA* Here's some alphabet soup for you. DIN stands for Duetch Industri Normen. An abbreviation for a standard in-dash radio measurement which is approximately 2 inches by 7 inches. The Germans starting using it to standardize the radio size in Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and VW way back in the mid 80.

Looks good on the pictures but when I opened the package… horrible! Juste a thin plastic with a horrible faded chrome. Never I will install this in my Cougar. 99$ for nothing but trash.

First of all, I am aware of that people have different needs and maybe this piece wil lbe good for someone out there. For me it did not make me happy at all. I planned to use this to be able to install a modern CD player in my car and make quick connectors for the power and speakers so I could easily switch between this and the original radio for shows.
I bought this with the impression that this was a chrome metal bezel, which I think it is fair to expect for this kind of money. It turned out to be a thin plastic bezel, and not at all what I expected. On the top of that it does not fit well and I don't even understand how it will be able to hold the CD player I planned to use in my car. If I should take this in and out several times I am pretty sure the plastic will crack as it does not feel very strong. As a result it will not be used in my car and I will instead buy an original style metal bezel, cut the DIN opening and make something that will last.
