Description

Upholstery components have an ETA of 10 - 12 weeks.

These interior kits feature the correct horizontal basket weave pattern on the uppers, correct stitching, correct grain and color of quality vinyl and correctly embossed clip on seat backing boards. Unless you specify otherwise, we do not drop ship these from the manufacturer but rather have them sent to us first so that we can closely inspect the quality of workmanship and check for accuracy in the materials. We try to the more common colors stocked so they can be shipped the same day as you order them.

When trying to identify which color you have, the Color Codes in the color options (ie the part in the 'Color' selection box above that is before the '~') should match the trim code on your door tag. For trim codes that start with a 'U', this indicates that you have Parchment upholstery. The second letter indicates what the accent color was in your car (ie the color of the carpet, dash, etc).

Fast Cat (1967 Boss 351/410 restomod)

Nice fit in a 1967 Cougar.

The results look great, some tips for those doing it:

1) Get new foam. The foam on my seat bottoms crumbled in my hands.
2) Get new seat hardware. Track to frame screws, hinge washers/clips, seat back stop, etc.
3) Inspect all welds on the seat frames. My drivers side bottom frame was broken/bent.
4) Mine did not come with hog rings. Order them here because finding them locally can be a pain.
5) Install is time consuming and stretching the covers takes a strong person. Count on 4-6 hours per seat.
6) Pay close attention to how the seats come apart. Do one component at a time.
7) Cable ties help bring the seat fabric and reinforcing wires together. Follow up with hog rings.
8) Don't be surprised if you find some shoddy work from 50 years ago.
9) These will make the rest of your interior look shoddy. When the seats are out, its a good time to refresh with new carpet, etc.
